During your virtual visit, we talk through your daily schedule, any joint pain or injuries, breathing or heart concerns, and how you feel about exercise in general. If you are managing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, or cardiovascular risk, we factor those into the intensity, duration, and type of activity we recommend.

From there, we create a practical plan that you can follow at home, at a gym, or outdoors, using whatever equipment you have access to - or no equipment at all. Your plan may include walking schedules, strength training routines, stretching for mobility, and simple ways to break up long periods of sitting. We also build in progression, so as your stamina improves, your plan can grow with you.

A key benefit of working with a healthcare professional, rather than a generic fitness app, is safety. We explain warning signs to watch for, how to pace yourself, and how exercise may affect your blood sugar, blood pressure, or breathing. You will know when to push a bit more and when to ease back.
